Alberta Cancer Foundation:
The Alberta Cancer Foundation is more than a charity. It's a movement for cancer-free lives today, tomorrow and forever. It's a movement of those who know a cancer-free future is possible and who won’t settle for “some day.” It's a movement of those who stand with Albertans who have no choice but to stand up to cancer. It's a movement of those who know something can be done and are willing to do it. For those facing cancer today, in honour of those lost to cancer, and for generations to come, we promise progress.
Caritas Hospital Foundation:
The Caritas Foundation’s purpose is to support Covenant Health's 150-year legacy of providing quality, compassionate care by healing the body, enriching the mind and nurturing the soul. The Foundation raises funds to help support leading edge programs and services, state of the art health care equipment, research and education.
S.T.A.R.S. Air Ambulance Foundation:
STARS is a charitable, non-profit organization.
Life can change without a moment’s notice – from a workplace injury, a heart attack, a drowning, a spinal cord injury or a car crash. For patients who are critically ill and injured, every minute saved before treatment can increase their chances of survival and improve their prospects for recovery.
STARS is more than just a helicopter. It is a comprehensive and responsive emergency medical system made up of several components. Our flight crews, air medical crews, and communications specialists work in concert to ensure that our patients receive the best care available in the shortest period of time possible.
Having STARS in the air ensures patients have access to the specialized medical care they need, even if they are far away from a critical care centre.
The incredible ongoing support of the community helps us continually enhance our innovative and leading-edge air medical programs and service.
Stollery Children's Hospital Foundation:
The Alberta Government funds Alberta Health Services, who is responsible for providing health care services to all Albertans. This includes the operation of the Stollery Children's Hospital.
With the support of dedicated donors, the Stollery Children's Hospital Foundation raises funds to enhance those services provided by Alberta Health Services in order to create a centre of excellence at the Stollery Children's Hospital.
Each year, the team at the Stollery Children's Hospital submits a list of priority projects to the Board of the Stollery Children's Hospital Foundation. The Board then evaluates the submission to determine what the Foundation will commit to funding. This normally takes place in the spring of each year. In 2011, the Foundation provided approximately $9 million in support of these priority projects.
The Foundation raises funds to support four pillars:
- Technology and Equipment;
- Research and Education;
- Infrastructure Excellence; and
- Innovative Programming.
The Edmonton Society for Christian Education:
